How do I get started?
You trust in yourself, take a deep breath, maybe two, and get ready… set… GOOO!!!
With this website, tutorial videos, and support network, getting started really is as easy
baking a cake for the first time (a healthy, grain-free cake of course! See my favorite
cake recipe HERE). You need to gather the ingredients (exercise equipment) and
then simply follow the recipe (do the exercises listed for each day). If you bake the cake
for the right amount of time you will enjoy all that it has to offer in no time at all. As
with any new recipe, at first it may be challenging to get it right, but with a little
commitment and motivation, it soon becomes effortless to make the perfect dish every
time! (Just like this program!)
This program is designed for women of absolutely all ages and backgrounds. There are two
parts of the fitness program. The first is a strength program and the second is a conditioning workout.
We offer three different strength and conditioning programs: Sexy Ladies (beginners-no
equipment required-most important goal is fat loss), Pretty Women (intermediate-no
weight required, but can be used for a challenge-most important goal is fat loss),
and Confident Cougars (Ready to start adding weight onto your lifts to reach your
full potential-barbell, squat rack, and weights required-most important goal is strength
and getting that "toned" look). In order to know what program you should start with,

The strength portion is what helps you strengthen your bones and muscles for all of
life's expected and unexpected challenges. Oh and this is how you reach that longed
for "toned" look. Although you do not need a gym membership to follow this program,
for the advanced level (Cougars) you will want to buy some dumbbells, a barbell, plate
weights, and squat rack. All this equipment is commonly found in most gyms or on
craigslist. If you want to buy the equipment and workout at home-which I highly
suggest if you have a very busy life-you can buy these things used on craigslist for
typically pretty cheap. If you do not have access to a gym and no equipment, you may
begin by using the "Ladies" or the "Women" program depending on your starting level,
both of which requires no equipment. As you become more fit and ready to progress
onto the "Cougars," program, you can get the equipment as needed.
The second part of this program is the conditioning portion this is how you get better
at endurance type activities like walking up stairs, running, and playing with kids
for a long time. It is here that you will really decrease body fat and unhealthy
toxins in your body! This part of the program is all about FORM and INTENSITY. You
must push hard on these workouts even when you are tired and feel like your lungs
are on fire! Yep, you will know the feeling when you get there-but you are going to
keep pushing and keep moving because you want to be fit for life!
